Description

Sóstormur is an exciting and scary - and depressingly real - crime novel about fanatics and hidden motives. It is high winter in Kiruna. Dark and cold. While the Northern Lights dance on the skies the spiritual leader of the new church, Viktor Strandgård, is murdered. The next morning a lawyer from Stockholm, Rebekka Martinsson, who grew up in Kiruna and knew Viktor, gets an unexpected phone call. It is Victor’s sister, Sanna, who is calling to ask for help. She is convinced that the police is suspecting her of the murder and she fears that someone will come and take her children away from her. Rebekka reluctantly returns to the snow covered land of her childhood. The return awakens strong feelings and all of a sudden she feels threatened and followed. Both by her own past and by sinister forces who want her silenced.
